Yorkton’s newest equipment dealership, Maple Ag & Outdoor opened its doors to the community in November of 2021. A group of local business professionals led by Dealer Principal Cam Mehling, purchased the dealership that was Logan Stevens Equipment, one of Yorkton’s oldest companies.  Mehling and his partners Larry Hilworth, Gord Pries, Ralph Ager, Rick Schrader, and Dave Nussbaumer have a vision of transforming the dealership into the ideal go-to spot for all equipment needs. Since launching the dealership, Maple Ag & Outdoor has significantly grown their team, added new divisions and suppliers, and set out to provide the Parkland area with professional expertise. 
 
The company’s core values are driven by providing world class customer care. What this means at Maple Ag is providing customers with the knowledge to make an educated decision in choosing the right equipment, receiving fast and friendly service, and making sure customers have what is needed for their next project. “We know that taking great care of customers is the only thing that matters in this business and being locally owned and operated gives us the advantage of being able to understand the unique needs of Parkland area residents” stated Mehling. At Maple Ag & Outdoor, support for sales and service is readily available whether purchasing or renting. 
 
                The cornerstone of Maple Ag & Outdoors business is the globally renowned brand, Kubota. Kubota has a large cross section of products including agriculture, consumer, and construction products. Kubota is a widely respected brand that is known for being extremely reliable and well priced. Kubota is backed by phenomenal warranties and has an assortment of attachments allowing customers to customize equipment to their needs.
 
                Rentals are another critical area of focus for Maple Ag because it makes equipment easier to access for homeowners and trades. “Depending on the job and ongoing needs, buying equipment doesn’t always make sense,” explains Mehling.  To accommodate a range of needs, Maple Ag provides an array of equipment rentals for commercial or residential applications. The current fleet includes construction equipment, lawn and garden equipment, electric tools, concrete equipment, lifts, skid steers, excavators, trailers, and so much more. Maple Ag & Outdoor is focused on growing the rental business to support homeowners and construction trades in the Yorkton area.
 
                Heavy equipment is not the only thing Maple Ag & Outdoor has to offer. It is also home to Husqvarna lawn and garden equipment, Traeger smokers, and an assortment of other equipment including pumps, pressure washes, and generators. With more to come all the time, this spring Maple Ag is welcoming Hydropool hot tubs, and Summer Smiles pool and spa chemicals. “There is a gap in the Yorkton marketplace for people to purchase hot tubs and to receive professional service with chemicals. We want our neighbours to get the products, parts, and customer service right here in our community, instead of Yorkton dollars being spent in Regina,” said Mehling. He also stated that they will be the first company in Yorkton to offer free water testing for pools and spas. Argo, a superior line of all-terrain vehicles that allow you to explore water, land, and anything in between, is another new addition to Maple Ag. Look for quads, side by sides, and 6 or 8-wheel utility vehicles to arrive this summer.
